A document of my good (and bad) decisions and their consequences during my time in Sevilla, Spain
This weekend in Lagos, Portugal was prodigious (yeah, I used thesauras.com for that one. and what. I’m running out of ways to say ‘amazing’). The beaches were stunning. I loved how the cliffs surrounded the water. Oh, and the water! It was actually blue! Just absolutely gorgeous.  I can’t even begin to rehash how much fun I had while there, but let’s just say I checked a lot of things off my bucket list. For instance:
visited Portugal
stayed in a hostel
climbed a giant rock in the middle of the ocean (the portuguese men made it look a lot easier than it actually was. they looked like models in a Dolce and Gabana ad, just lounging out on the rock. I probably looked more like an awkward version of Ariel from the Little Mermaid.)
danced in the middle of the street (I met a guy from Ecuador and he just started dancing salsa with me in the street. He even flipped me! And he taught me another move where he steps over me I’m suspended flat above the ground…I can’t explain, but it was awesome.
Check and check. And that is just a sampling. It was definitely a weekend of firsts.
It was also really interesting because I met people from all over. In addition to the Ecuadorian, I met a bartender from Australia, a rugby team from England, backpackers from Chicago, someone from Paris, a guy from Uruguay…really from everywhere. This quaint little town in Portugal, with historic looking buildings and cobblestone streets, was full of so many different types of people all around my age. It was crazy. Such a fantastic weekend. Oh, and my three friends and I just took the bus there instead of going with a tour and paid half the price that everyone else from ISA paid to go. Winner-winner chicken dinner!
