A document of my good (and bad) decisions and their consequences during my time in Sevilla, Spain

Is this a food blog or a travel blog?? Yesterday Sabrina told me that before we met, she thought I was going to be a super health freak because she knew I taught the fitness classes at St. Eds. Then she met me.

I just love food. And I’ve realized I am in no way a picky eater. My family teases me for only eating Chick-Fil-A at home (which may be based in some truth), but I am proud to say I’ve eaten everything that’s been put in front of me this trip. And I always try to order the most exotic sounding thing on the menu (i.e. the tataki atun I got…turned out to be tuna in this delicious tomato and onion salsa. I had no idea tuna could be more than just tuna salad!).

Today for lunch my host mama cooked calamari rellenos. They reminded me of mandrake rooots (or mandragora for the Harry Potter nerds - I kept waiting for one to start shrieking) but they were delicious! We also had calabacines rellenos again today. It is just a chile pepper stuffed with a mixture of tomatoes, onions, corn, and hardboiled eggs in a mayonnaise salsa (she makes her mayonnaise at home and it tastes so much better that way). It sounds awful, but it’s become my new favorite. The first time we had it, I ate 4 of them they were so good, so she got up and started making more. So then I had to eat more. I think I set the bar too high the first week and now she expects me to eat two servings of everything (also why my booty has doubled in size. No really. I know I like to think I am Beyonce, but my dreams of being bootylicious are unfortunately closer than I think.)
